Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management is a growing, research active department focused on supporting student success to those enrolled in our Master of Science in Exercise Science, Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Minor in Nutritional Science programs. With more than 10,000 square footage, of state-of-the-art laboratory space, we offer a student-centered and research driven educational experience.

Wellstar College of Health and Human Services is a dynamic and rapidly growing college located just outside Atlanta. Composed of five academic units, offering undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and certificate programs to prepare graduates to pursue advanced-level education and various practice, research, and administrative roles in the health and human services fields. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management for the academic year 2024 - 2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Candidates are expected to instruct various lecture and laboratory courses in a face to face or an online format to support the undergraduate Exercise Science curriculum.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of an earned Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in exercise science or a related field is required.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications to support the required curriculum courses including American Heart Association Instructor Certification, American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist, and/or National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level
  • Experience teaching face to face, online, and/or laboratory courses

Background Check
